Formatting Requirements & Submissions

Please ensure your manuscript is completed to the best of your ability before submitting.

Submissions are OPEN for short stories & novels. 

DOCUMENT

• Times New Roman 12pt font
• Double spaced throughout and properly indented for new paragraphs. An extra space should be added between paragraphs.
• Left aligned with 1-inch margins.
• Saved as a .DOC or .DOCX file. 

SUBMISSION

• Please email all submissions to editor@alexparkerpublishing.com with the subject SUBMISSION TYPE - TITLE 
• Submit the first ten pages of your manuscript.
• Submit a ONE-page synopsis.
• A title page (or in the body of the email) please include the following:
• Full Name
• Pen Name (if applicable)
• Genre
• Word Count
• Title
• Series Title (if applicable)
• Book Blurb
• About the Author— Please tell us about yourself, your writing journey, and previous publications, etc.

 ADDITIONAL NOTES

• We will do everything in our power to respond to your submission (accepted or passed). We have all been on the receiving end of the inbox, waiting and waiting, and leaving open submissions unanswered is a personal author pet peeve of ours. If you haven't heard from us in 3 months, please feel free to give us a gentle nudge at editor@alexparkerpublishing.com 
• Please note that blatant disregard of the submission requirements will result in an automatic rejection. (We all make mistakes. If you make a typo in your entry, please do not panic. However, if you blatantly disregard submission requirements, that means to us, we will not be a good fit to work together and we will reject the submission.)
