Please make sure your manuscript is as polished as you can get it before submitting. Here's how to prepare it.
The Document
- Times New Roman, 12 pt font
- Double-spaced throughout, with new paragraphs properly indented (not tabbed) and an extra space between paragraphs
- Left-aligned, with 1-inch margins
- Saved as a .DOC or .DOCX file
What to Submit
- The first ten pages of your manuscript (or the next completed scene)
- A one-page synopsis
- A title page (or the body of your message) that includes:
- Full name
- Pen name (if applicable)
- Genre
- Word count
- Title
- Series title (if applicable)
- Book blurb
- About the author — tell us about yourself, your writing journey, previous publications, and anything else you'd like us to know
- Comps
A Few Notes
We do everything in our power to respond to every submission, whether it's an acceptance or a pass. We've all been on the waiting end of the inbox, and leaving writers there is a pet peeve of ours — so we won't do it to you.
Please follow the submission requirements. Honest mistakes happen, and a small typo won't sink you — don't panic. But blatant disregard of the requirements tells us we wouldn't be a good fit to work together, and will result in an automatic rejection.
